I've just broken past the 90,000 words milestone, and with it, I ended up writing what has been the hardest, most emotionally taxing scene in my life. It's something I never imagined could happen.

There are complex and simple scenes. They can be physically or mentally demanding. But emotionally? Those are the hardest and most rewarding to write.

I've been thinking about said scene for a while. It's become distracting, and to be honest, it left me a bit burnt out. I'd take a break, but I don't want it to become a long hiatus. Being so close to the finish line keeps me hard on my toes, even if the quality suffers.

Revisions will come later.

The draft currently sits at 91,194 words. My estimate is about 2,000 - 3,000 words left before I type in 'the end'.

In other exciting news, I'll be releasing chapter 2 soon for everyone who subscribes to the blog so you can see what all the fuss is about. Just enter your email below and voilà.

Until the next one!
